Help

Understand the Gospels more than ever by reconstructing the events of the life of Jesus. What happened, where and when, and in what order? Order the events by arranging them in order on the graph from top to bottom.

Order the events of the Gospels

The app has 2 screens. In the first one you look on the events of the Gospels as a graph. Each node is an event that is captured in at least one of the gospels. Click on nodes to see details of that event in the right panel.

The links of the graph represent the flow of the narrative. For example, Jesus walks on water at evening of the day he is feeding the five thousand. By mapping all the events and the links between them, we get a puzzle: a big graph that needs to be ordered. To make the task simpler, I divided the narrative to 4 parts:

  • Events before Jesus' public ministry
  • Jesus' ministry in Galilee and Judea
  • Holy week
  • Events after the resurrection

After selecting the part you want to work on you can order the events by clicking and moving them around. You can select multiple events to move them together by holding the SHIFT key and clicking on them. You can also select all events above or below a selected event with the buttons in the top left corner

Event list
The event list show events and details in order as you ordered them in the graph. This feature is under development.
Color codesThe four gospels are color coded across this app:
  • Matthew
  • Mark
  • Luke
  • John
